The Alliance applauded the release of the ground-breaking National Sexuality Education Standards: Core Content and Skills, K–12 earlier this year. Developed by four leading national health organizations, these standards highlight the minimum core content for sexuality education that is developmentally and age-appropriate for students in Kindergarten through grade 12.

The Healthy Colorado Youth Alliance is dedicated to ensuring that all youth have access to complete and age appropriate sexual health education, resources and services, so that they can make informed, responsible decisions and lead healthy, happy lives. In addition to helping local school districts implement the standards laid out in Colorado law, The Alliance is building a statewide coalition of advocates for quality and complete sexual health education.
