Colorado has a history of being proactive in response to the HIV/AIDS pandemic. CAP, NCAP, S-CAP, and WestCAP have consciously decided to merge as a way of improving services rather than reacting to federal and state mandates and future changes in funding.

The Healthy Colorado Youth Alliance is dedicated to ensuring that all youth have access to complete and age appropriate sexual health education, resources and services, so that they can make informed, responsible decisions and lead healthy, happy lives. In addition to helping local school districts implement the standards laid out in Colorado law, The Alliance is building a statewide coalition of advocates for quality and complete sexual health education.
To sustain its leadership, education and advocacy throughout Colorado, The Alliance relies on the financial contributions of its members and supporters.
